Conversations with Victoria

I thought these were hysterical and I just had to share.
Vix started swimming lessons last week. The instructor had them do an exercise where they lay their heads on Mom's shoulder and stretch their legs out. She wouldn't do it and I was trying to encourage her. She loves The Little Mermaid so I told her to stretch out her mermaid tail. She kicked her legs up out of the water, looked at me with huge eyes and said "I want to keep my feet so I can dance!" It was priceless.

Tonight I was multi tasking and doing some chores while I was cooking dinner. I went back to the kitchen to check the oven, only to find the oven door wide open, and a plethora of kitchen utensils piled in it (melting). In my serious mommy voice I yelled "Victoria Grace Crockett!!!" She came to the kitchen and said "Mommmmyyyy, That's my naughty name!!" How do you discipline after that??? :-)
